Asthma Testing and Treatment
There is no cure for asthma. If you have asthma, your airways are always more inflamed than someone who does not suffer from asthma. That being said, though, there are ways to manage asthma to improve your quality of life.
The key to successfully managing your asthma is having a strong relationship with an asthma specialist. That is why relationships are our focus.
The most common asthma symptoms are Shortness of breath, tightness or pain in your chest, chronic coughing and trouble sleeping due to coughing or wheezing. These symptoms can occur daily or can be experienced severely during a flare-up or attack.
Symptoms may also increase when you are stressed, exercising or exposed to “triggers” seasonally or in particular environments.
Testing, Education and Treatment
Watkins Allergy and Asthma Clinic can help you manage your asthma. We will review your medical history, symptoms and, when needed, perform tests. One a diagnosis is made, we take the time to educate you on how asthma affects your body. Once you understand your asthma challenges, we will work with you to create treatment plan.
Once the treatment plan goes into affect, we stay available to you and schedule follow up visits to monitor changes and adjust treatment as needed. The goal is to find the right balance to keep you healthy.
